All types of information that are directly or indirectly attributable to a living individual constitute personal data. Examples include name, contact details, personal identification number, account number, customer number, etc. Any action taken with personal data constitutes processing of personal data, whether automated or not. Common examples of processing include collection, storage, registration, sorting, processing, transfer, or deletion of the data.

3. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

We process your personal data in accordance with applicable privacy protection legislation. This means that processing is carried out in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and complementary national privacy legislation from May 25, 2018.

4. COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Collection and other processing of your personal data can occur in contact with our hotel or when you otherwise use our services in connection with your stay, in direct contact with us, and in connection with booking/payment during and after your stay.

Processing of your personal data is undertaken by us to the extent necessary to fulfill agreements where you are a party and to take measures at your request before such an agreement is made. An agreement can be entered into if you order one of our services, such as booking a hotel stay.

In addition, your personal data is processed when it is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation (e.g., to fulfill an obligation in relation to the Tax Agency, the Police Authority, or the Enforcement Authority regarding accounting).

In cases where you have given explicit consent by which you have agreed that Edsviken Hotell AB performs certain processing of personal data for one or more specific purposes, such consent constitutes the legal basis for that processing of your personal data. If personal data is processed within such activities, a balance of interests constitutes the legal basis for the personal data processing necessary for the purposes relating to these legitimate interests.

For processing personal data beyond this, we rely on a balance of interests where we have identified a legitimate interest, and after careful consideration, found that your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms do not outweigh this interest. We may also seek your consent to:
